Frequently asked questions
Here are answers to the questions we hear most often. If you can't find what you need, call us on 0432 684 748 — we're always happy to have a chat.
Who does JMR Support Services support?
We support NDIS participants, including young people and adults. We also work closely with families, carers, plan managers and support coordinators to make sure support fits each person's goals and plan.
What areas do you cover?
We provide support in Young, the Hilltops, Harden and Cootamundra.
Do you provide support in Wagga Wagga?
Only for transport to specialist appointments. We can take you to and from specialist appointments in Wagga Wagga when this is arranged with us. Wagga Wagga is not one of our regular service areas.
Are you an NDIS-registered provider?
No. JMR Support Services is not an NDIS-registered provider. This means we can support participants whose NDIS funding is plan-managed or self-managed.
Can you support me if my NDIS plan is agency-managed (NDIA-managed)?
Not with agency-managed funding. Because we are not registered, we can only be paid from plan-managed or self-managed NDIS funding. If you are not sure how your plan is managed, check your plan or ask your support coordinator or plan manager. You are also welcome to call us for a chat.
What kinds of support do you offer?
Our supports include community access, such as outings, sport, events, cafes, pools and day trips; in-home daily living and wellbeing support, such as meal support, light domestic help and companionship; leisure mentoring to build hobbies and interests; going with you to appointments and helping with transport; and practical skills development where it is funded in your plan.
Can you help me get to appointments?
Yes. We can go with you to GP, specialist, pharmacy and hospital appointments in our service areas, and provide transport to specialist appointments in Wagga Wagga when arranged.
Who will be supporting me?
JMR Support Services is a small local team. John, our director and support mentor, works hands-on with participants alongside our support workers Alana, Phil and Matt. You can meet the team on our About page.
How do I make a referral or enquiry?
Fill out the form on our Contact page, call John on 0432 684 748, or email john@jmrsupports.com.au. Participants can contact us directly, and families, plan managers and support coordinators are welcome to get in touch on a participant's behalf with their permission.
What happens after I get in touch?
We will have a chat with you about your goals, the support you are looking for and our availability, so we can work out how we can support you best.
